Like You

Matthias, better known as Matty, is a young man from Lovell, Wyoming. He is majoring in Chemical Engineering at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. Matty is mixed white and Latino, with his mother being from northern Mexico.

He has medium tan skin with a mole under the left corner of his mouth. His right eye is amber in color while his right eye is dark brown in color. He has moderately deep under-eyebags. His tweed-colored hair is shoulder-length with blonde underdye. He often ties his hair up into a low bun. He has a lithe frame with little muscle definition above the lower half of his body. His legs, lean and muscular, indicate a history of track and field. He has surprisingly good posture.

He is the uninterested, apathetic, lone-wolf type. He's often seen as impolite and harsh due to lack of conversational ability, but is a sweet-talker when need be. Matty seeks out thrilling experiences and sexual connections. Matty's hobby is running. He is quite fast, betraying his outward appearance.

Matty is extremely intelligent and perceptive. He learned to observe others as a child when left alone by his parents. Despite his confidence in most tasks, he lacks the passion for just about everything, aside from running. His mother is a devout Catholic and raised Matty as such, but he doesn't practice anymore. He still carries his mother's rosary.

He has an average relationship with his parents. His father seems unsettled with Matty's detached personality and tends to ignore him, minus the instances where he deems Matty in need of "discipline." Matty's mother is loving but unaware. She is ignorant of his distant behavior and chooses to dote on him as if he were a perfectly "normal" son.

Something that has been bothering Matty lately is he has a "secret admirer." Whether Matty knows who this admirer is or not is still unknown. His days consist of going to class, doing classwork in the campus library, and sitting alone in his apartment watching late-night television. He goes on four mile runs each morning and night.

Matty recently met a fellow student named Cole in a shared class of theirs. He finds Cole to be strange and off-putting.

Cole is a young man from Douglas, Wyoming. He is majoring in Atmospheric Science at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming.

He has pale skin with deep under-eyebags. His eyes are an opaque, deep blue. His black hair is shoulder-length with light blue underdye. He often ties his hair up into a low bun or ponytail. He appears to be mimicking a certain person's hairstyle. He has a thin frame with only slight body-wide muscle definition. He has proper, albeit slightly slumped, posture. He writes with his left hand, but seems to struggle a bit, indicating that he was not originally left-handed...

Cole is overly cheerful and energetic—almost too much so. He's mature with a silver tongue and obsessive over whatever piques his interest. He seeks out thrilling experiences and sexual connections to fill a void. Cole's hobbies include painting, photography, bird-watching, hunting, and taxidermy. He is especially light-footed and cunning.

Cole has been referred to as a "genius" throughout his life. He is ingenious, observant, charismatic, confident, and passionate. He came to understand the world at a very young age. His empathy appears to be learned. Cole deals with many issues, including borderline personality disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and C-PTSD.

Cole grew up as the middle sibling and the only boy, aside from his father, in the family. He was doted on by his mother and sisters but demoralized by his father. His father would grow angry if he believed that Cole was failing to "behave like a man" and often subjected Cole to various forms of abuse. As a result of this push and pull during his childhood, Cole grew up to be heavily jaded with obsessive and destructive tendencies. He is able to get along well with girls thanks to the influence of his mother and sisters, but he is somewhat scorned by his male peers.

Something that has been bothering Cole lately is that the object of his affections seems uninterested in him. He's been quietly observing them since the day he first saw them—it was love at first sight, as Cole puts it. His goal is to make this person "his" by any means necessary.
